Danse mot vår (Dance Towards Spring)
I love spring. I am also born in spring, in March. Spring is magical. The melting snow, the birds singing, the new flowers growing up from the soil and the buds on the trees. The fluorescent greens in the forests. An abstract painting. The blue colors here are symbolizing the water, ice and snow melting with the sun glowing through warming up the planet.
This painting has many layers and angles, and interesting things turning up in the painting. It is also a tribute to the beautiful song with the same title written by my old friend Rolf Løvland (Secret Garden), and performed beautifully by my friend Elisabeth Andreassen.
