Seterjentene (The Farm Girls)
This painting is number 2 in a trilogy. Inspired by my six week stay at the Gjedtjernet farm in Finnskogen where I was a part of the popular TV-show
«The Farm VIP 2020», living 100 years back in time.
In Norway we had many mountain farms called seter in the old days, where the farmers would move their animals to stay during the summer. Where they lived together with their animals, milking the cows and goats, making cheese, cream and butter, like we did in the tv-show too.This life has always fascinated and impressed me, thinking about the valuable work the farmers have done in Norway through centuries. So this is a tribute to them. And we still have a few of these farms left, and people love to visit them.
